Alternate method

  1. On the Chart tab, in the Axes group, click the dialog box launcher.
  2. From the Axis list, select Y Axis or 2nd Y Axis.
  3. In the Factor list, select the divide-by factor. The options are thousands (1,000), millions (1,000,000) or billions (1,000,000,000). You can disable the scale factor by setting it to 1.
  4. Click Save Changes.
