Adding the Administration Status view

The Approval process provides the capability to view the approval status for all approval status lines using the administrator's Status web page. A special view must be defined to configure the Status web page. You can use a single view for all versions being controlled by the approval process or you can define a view for each version. In CTrain, the views are named CT BAP Status Admin and CT FAP Status Admin.

To add the view:

  1. Set up the dimensions as:
    Dimension Position On-Grid Members Off-Grid Member Allowed Members
    Merged Period Year (Approval dimension) Across Limit to the approval dimension members Any Limit to the approval dimension members
    Period Across Limit to the approval dimension members Any Limit to the approval dimension members
    Unit (Approval dimension) Down All members involved in the Approval process Any All
    ERS Off-grid Untranslated Untranslated As desired; Untranslated must be included
    Currency Off-grid Local Local As desired; Local must be included
    Version (Approval dimension) Off-grid Version members associated with Approval process workflow Initial version to be displayed Version members associated with approval process workflow
    Schedule Line Items Off-grid As desired Initial approval schedule line, should be appropriate for off-grid version Approval schedule lines
    Accumulation Off-grid As desired Periodic As desired; periodic must be included
    Adj State Off-grid Reported Reported As desired; Reported must be included
    Product Off-grid As desired The "No" dimension member is recommended As desired; the off-grid member is used for approval status
    Sales Channel Off-grid As desired The "No" dimension member is recommended As desired; the off-grid member is used for approval status
  2. Allow writeback to all members.
  3. No rotation recommended. It is feasible to allow schedule line and unit to be rotated.
  4. It is not necessary to display: Adjusted State, Accumulation Method, Product, Sales Channel, Rate Set, or Currency.
  5. The off-grid member for custom dimension must be the same for the Approval_Base, Status Monitor, Status Admin, and Status views.
  6. Display the Schedule Line on a button so it is selectable.
  7. Display Version on a button so it is selectable.
  8. Carefully control the Period selections. It is recommended that all periods be displayed across the grid.
