Percent Type

Ownership journals enable you to select a percent type. The percent type determines the percentage to use when calculating the amount to post.

Percent type	Description
Effective Ownership (EFO)	Uses a percent generated by the ownership calculation engine. The amount is displayed on the ownership properties page.
Effective Control (ECT)	Uses a percent generated by the ownership calculation engine. The amount is displayed on the ownership properties page.
Effective Control Minority (ECM)	Calculated by the consolidation engine when the journal is posted. This is the calculation formula: ECM = 100-ECT
Effective Minority (EFM)	Determined by calculating the difference between the consolidation percent and the effective ownership percent.
Consolidation (CON)	Uses a percent generated by the ownership calculation engine. The amount is displayed on the ownership properties page.
