Definition tab
- Dimension. Select a secured dimension from the list.
- All Members In Dimension. Select this check box to automatically include all members for all hierarchies in the dimension. Selecting this check box enables the Read and Write and Read Only options. Select one of these options to apply to all the members in the selected dimension. (No Access is not an option here because you must have at least one member from every dimension.)
- Hierarchy. Select a hierarchy from the list. Dimensions can have several hierarchies. You must specify the dimension member selection separately for each. Shared members in a hierarchy are included for all hierarchies.
- Search Member. Specify the search text and the matching results are highlighted.
- Members. Shows the members in the dimension or in one hierarchy of the dimension.
-
Access. Use these options to set the level of
security for the dimension.
Option Description Read and Write Sets the read-and-write access for a member. Read Only Sets the read-only access for a member. No Access Applies to the administrator setting up security. It enables the administrator to remove access from a member that has been included because of a relationship with another member. Note: Members not included in a profile have no access.
-
Include Related Members. Use these options to
define member relationships.
Option Description Self Applies the security setting to the selected member. Children Children are members that are immediately below the selected member. This option applies the security setting to the children of the selected member. Descendents Applies the security setting to the descendents of the selected member. Siblings Only available on flat dimensions. Applies the security setting to all other members. Leaf Nodes Applies the security setting to every descendant that is at the bottom of its branch. These options enable you to automate dimension member selection for the security profile. Any members added within the chosen relationship are automatically included in the security profile.
-
Detail Budgeting Access. This option enables
you to define a different access for Detail Budgeting security at the Assets
and Employees level for the currently selected member.
You can opt to give your Detail budgeting users Read and Write access, Read Only access, or No Access to Assets data, Employees data, or both.
If you change the primary (main) dimension in Detail Budgeting Administrator, all security access is reset to that of the parent member.
