Model Settings

The Model Settings tab enables you to change the global parameters from the Sys_Params or NonStructure_Params tables in the production model.

These are the options:

Setting Description
CPM Model List of CPM models.
Database Owner User ID Shows the user ID of the database owner.
Database Owner Password Specify the password for the database owner.
Connect Connects to the selected model.
Disconnect Disconnects from the model.
Save Saves any changes.
Refresh Updates the page to reflect any changes.
Parameter Shows the parameter name.
Setting Specify a value for the parameter.
Description Shows a description of the parameter.

Parameters

This section provides a description of the parameters.

Setting Description
Auto Consolidation Cross Product Threshold Used by automatic consolidations. This setting specifies the cross-dimensional product limit for suppressing a full consolidation of a node. Valid values are 1 through 2 million.
Auto Consolidation Impact Percent Used by automatic consolidations. This setting specifies the percentage of impacted descendants required to trigger a full consolidation of a node. Valid values are 1 through 100.
Consolidation Status Monitor

Consolidation Status Monitor tracks reported data updates against the consolidation process. Consolidation Status Monitor is automatically enabled for new models.

Select Disable to turn Consolidation Status Monitor off.

Select Enable to turn Consolidation Status Monitor on. When you enable this parameter, you must also select the reporting dimension used for tracking data updates. The reporting dimension is typically the Unit dimension or a hierarchical custom dimension.

CSM Reporting Dimension Reporting dimension used to track reported data updates in Consolidation Status Monitor. You can specify the Unit dimension or any hierarchical custom dimension.
Division Tolerance Used by the consolidation engine. The value for this setting defines a numeric range that is considered equivalent to zero when used as a divisor in a formula. The purpose is to protect against arithmetic overflow that can occur when dividing by a small number. Arithmetic overflow can occur in any of the formula operations (multiply, add, divide) but it most often occurs when a formula is divided by a small number. The value for this setting must be a numeric value greater than or equal to 0 and less than 1. The default value is 0.001 which means a range from 0.001 to -0.001.
Ownership Process

The Ownership process supports the financial consolidation methods required by the International Accounting Standards (IAS). The Ownership process is enabled by default when creating sample models. The Ownership process is disabled by default when creating custom models.

Selecting Enable turns on the ownership process. Selecting Disable turns off the ownership process.

Period-to-Date

Period-to-date data is calculated and is not stored in the database.

Select Enable to turn on period-to-date. Select Disable to turn this setting off. If you enable this setting, you must also specify the name and description for the period-to-date member.

Period-to-Date Member Period-to-date member description.
Period-to-Date Member Name Period-to-date member name. This name is displayed as a member in the Accumulation Method dimension. You cannot have month-to-date and quarter-to-date formats.
Process Activity Reporting

Process Activity Reporting tracks two types of activity. It tracks changes made to reported data. It also tracks all processes and their parameters.

Process Activity Reporting is enabled by default for all new models.

Select Enable to turn on Process Activity Tracking. Select Disable to turn this feature off.

System Decimal Precision Global precision. Valid values are 0 through 9. The default value is 2.
