Adding a BODShredder connection - Microsoft SQL Server

To add a BODShredder connection for Microsoft SQL Server:

  1. On the Manage Data Sources page.
  2. Click New and select Microsoft SQL Server as the connection type.
  3. Specify a name for the data source. The name must be unique. To facilitate setting up drill through to journal detail within CPM pages, name the data source PMSourceViews.
  4. Select BODShredder as the category.
  5. To define a Relational Connection:
    1. Select the authentication type for users. End User Authentication specifies the type of user connection to the CPM BOD database. Select the Database option for SQL Server authentication. Select the Integrated option for Windows authentication.
    2. Specify the user name of the database owner.
    3. Specify the password for the administrator user.
    4. Specify the name of the server computer on which the SQL Server software is installed. If a SQL instance is used, it must be appended to the name. For example, MyServerName\SQL2019.
    5. Select the database to connect to the data source. If necessary, click Refresh to update the list of available databases.
  6. Click Test Connection.
  7. Click Save.
