Views

Using View Manager administrators can create and manage their views in a web browser. Administrators can search, create, edit, save, and delete views.

Views are windows through which data is seen and are based on one of the defined data sources. A data source is a combination of information that defines a particular database on a particular server.

You can configure the information presented through views by:

  • Changing object properties
  • Changing allowed dimension
  • Changing allowed dimension members
  • Setting off-grid members
  • Specifying the initial rotation
  • Specifying the drill down mode
  • Adding calculations
  • Specifying the appearance
  • Defining exceptions
  • Allowing data writeback
