Erase data

Before you delete or change the definition of a posted journal (Reference, Reclassification, Intercompany Eliminations, or Ownership), you should run the Erase Data process to erase the adjustment data for the journal to remove previously consolidated data that is no longer valid. Journal definition changes determine whether to run the Erase Data process.

If you perform any of these changes, you should run Erase Data:
  • Narrow the Effective Life
  • Change the version
  • Change the periodicity
  • Change a source member selection
  • Change a destination member selection
  • Change a Match/With/Remainder/Third Party line
  • Change the Unit Type (Ownership Journals)
If you perform any of these changes, you do not need to erase data:
  • Change the journal name
  • Expand the Effective Life
  • Change a note
  • Change a source percent (Reference journals)
  • Change Reverse Sign selection
  • Change Percent Type or Percent Amount (Ownership journals)
See Erase Data in the Infor CPM User Guide.
