Example 1
Select Information Systems and then select the Read Only and Self options. Next, select Head Office and then select the Read and Write and Descendents options. The access setting for Information Systems changes to Read and Write because of the precedence rule that Read and Write access always takes priority.

Click Clear All to remove all security settings. Select Information Systems and then select the Read and Write and Self options. Next, select Head Office and then select the Read Only and Descendents options. The access setting for Information Systems do not change and remains set at Read and Write. This is because of the precedence rule that Read and Write access always takes priority.

Select Information Systems again. This enables the Detail Budgeting Access options. These options are enabled when you select a leaf member on which some level of security has been defined.

Detail Budgeting Access options now become available.

Even though Information Systems has Read and Write access for member security, you can choose any access option from Asset and Employee. This is because the consolidation business rule does not apply to Detail Budgeting security.
