The Journal Entry view specifies the default settings and allowed members used on the Journal Entry page .

The StatusMode parameter lets you set up a Journal Entry view that limits users to creating and modifying web journals that have a Working - Not Available for Posting status. The StatusMode parameter has two options: Full and Working. Specify Full to give users full access to all features. Specify Working to keep users from approving journals and editing/deleting approved journals.

The Form parameter enables you to specify a title for the Journal Entry page. If this parameter is not specified, the default of Journal Entry is used.

The ShowJournalID parameter enables you to remove the journal ID from the Journal entry page. If the ShowJournalID parameter is missing or set to Y, the journal ID is shown on the report. The journal ID is automatically generated when a journal is created. You can use the journal ID as an audit trail to account for all journals by reviewing the Journal table.

When using intercompany lines in standard journals, the view that provides the configuration parameters for the journal interface must include at least one currency in addition to local currency.

The Journal entry page shows the member name or member description based on the member name setting of the Unit dimension in the view associated with the page. For example, if the unit dimension member is set to display the member name, all other dimension members are displayed as name. The Name + Description option is not supported.

Use the allowed settings of the Currency dimension to specify which currencies are optional for acquisition journals.

Currencies that are marked as allowed in this view, and that are not marked as required in the Architect, are optional for acquisition journals.

All dimensions must be displayed in the view.
