Microsoft SQL Server code pages

When a character in one code page is unavailable on another code page, the character is converted to the closest equivalent character in the other code page. For example, the inverted exclamation mark (¡) is translated to an exclamation mark. Exclamation marks are not allowed in member names, so you may experience problems with your data. You should ensure that all your machines are using the same code page.
