Properties for each dimension

Information about the properties and other defining aspects of each dimension are compiled into tables for reference. The tables identify the required and optional properties of the dimension in three scenarios.

• Whether structure data about that member property is required by the database for its successful release into production.
• Whether structure data about that member property is required by the Import Wizard when creating new members.
• Whether structure data about that member property is required by the Import Wizard when updating existing members.

There are a minimal number of member properties that are required to be in the structure data used by the Import Wizard. The reason is that default values are available for many properties that CPM requires; the wizard generates the default value for the property if no value is provided within the structure data.
