Additional information on schedule lines
- All lines that make up a
beginning balance suite should be balance sheet accounts (their AccountType attribute
should be BL or BA, depending on whether it is a Balance Sheet Asset or a Balance Sheet
Liability).
- If a line is included on
more than one schedule, we recommend that the schedules have the same
periodicity. This prevents overwriting of data in periods that are entered for
one schedule and derived for another. In some cases, such as when you collect
data for the line every month for your actual version and every quarter for
your budgeted version, this may not be an issue, since the data slice is
different.
- If a line is included on
multiple schedules, be aware of the dependencies this creates. You may need to
consolidate your schedules in a particular order.
- Opening Balance and the
downfoot for the Opening Balance (also known as Ending Balance) are Balance
Sheet accounts. All other contributing lines to the ending balance are P&L
accounts.
- The default value for the
Rate attribute is based on the translation method that was set while mapping
the Rate dimension.
