The Source tab defines the configuration information for the load.

File Description

These are the options:

Option Description
File Name of an uploaded file containing the data to import. You can directly specify a name in the box or you can select from the list.
Upload File Upload the data file to the CPM Server. You can browse to the location of the file. The files are uploaded to the ProgramData\Infor\CPM\Import\UploadFiles directory on the CPM Server computer.

You must upload the file every time the file is changed.

Header Location of the header row. The default value is 1. You can specify a new value. A header row is not required. If your source data file does not contain a header row, clear the check box. If you clear this check box, you must adjust the Start of Data option.
Start of Data Location of the first row of data. The default value is 2. You can specify a new value.
End of Data Location of the last row of data. This parameter is only needed if there is additional data in the file that you do not want loaded.
Delimiter Character used to delimit the columns. Select comma (,), semi colon (;), colon (:), period (.), or Tab.
Text Qualifier Character used to delimit the text. Select Single Quote or Double Quote.
Date Format List of date formats. Select the format used in the source file.
Decimal Format Character used to indicate a decimal point. Select Period, Comma, Slash or Dash.
Preview Displays the first 100 lines of the source data file.
Sort Opens the Sort dialog box. On the Sort dialog box, click Add sort on another column to add fields to the sort list.


Database Description

These are the options:

Option Description
Data Source List of data sources.
Table List of available tables from which to load the data.
Fields Opens the Field Selection dialog box. From the Available list, select the columns you want and move them to the Selected list. The columns in the Selected list are displayed on the Columns tab where they are mapped. Use the arrow buttons to move fields between the lists.
Date Format List of date formats. Select the format used in the table. This option is primarily used for importing dates stored as strings instead of dates.
Decimal Format Character used to indicate a decimal point. Select from a period, comma, slash, or dash.
Preview Displays the first 100 lines of the table.
Sort Opens the Sort dialog box. On the Sort dialog box, click Add sort on another column to add fields to the sort list.
