Dimensionality
Workforce Budgeting data is specified for a particular version, a primary dimension, such as the Unit dimension, and optionally, allocation dimensions.
You must define primary dimensionality by selecting one CPM dimension including:
- Unit dimension. This is the default selection.
- Custom Category or Other dimension that is financial data usage only and non-trade currency.
Optionally, you can specify which other dimensions to use for allocation.
- You can specify up to three dimensions for use in allocations. Because of calculation complexity, we recommend you use the fewest number of allocation dimensions necessary for your budgeting requirements.
- You can use any of the dimensions as allocation dimensions as long as it is not the primary dimension.
- The order of allocation dimensions controls the user interface for specifying allocation percentages.
Only leaf members of the Unit and Custom dimensions are used in Workforce Budgeting for data entry.
Note: If the administrator uses Architect to delete a member from the version dimension,
primary dimension or allocation dimension, all data associated with the deleted member is
also deleted.
