Step and Grade Schedule Details

The Step and Grade Schedule Details page opens when you add a schedule or when you click a Details button on the Step and Grade Schedules page. This page enables you to modify the schedule details.

This table shows the page options:

Option Description
Save any changes.
Refresh the page to the last saved state.
Calculate Calculate the current version.
Version Displays the Version member selected on the Step and Grade Schedule page.
Schedule Name Specify a unique name for the schedule. If you change the name, the name is changed for all records using the same schedule ID.
Schedule Description Optional. Specify a description for the schedule. If you change the description, the description is changed for all records using the same schedule ID.
Pay Type Pay type, either Salaried or Hourly. This option is disabled if the schedule is associated with a position definition, position assignment, or action assignment.
Effective Date

Click to specify a new effective date. The existing schedule and rates are copied to the new effective date. This enables you to keep the unique schedule ID but update the rates for the future.

You can update by a percentage or a specified amount.

Click to delete the selected effective date.

Note Optional. Specify information about the schedule. If you change the note, the note is changed for all records using the same schedule ID.
Add a step and grade row.
Delete the selected item. A grade cannot be deleted if it is used in a position definition or position assignment.
Order Specify the order in which to display the grades.
Grade Specify a name for the grade. Each grade must have a name. A schedule must have at least one grade.
Description Optional. Specify a description for the grade.
Steps A grade must contain at least one step. You can specify a rate for each step in a grade.

The grades in a schedule are not required to have the same number of steps.

The maximum numbers of steps is 99.

Step rates must be consecutive with no gaps between the first specified rate and the last specified rate.
