Step and Grade

Workforce Budgeting supports base salaries that are determined by Step and Grade schedules. Every record must contain all the information for the Step and Grade schedule including the schedule name, grade, and step information.

For the load, you can specify a default value for VER_ID using members defined in the application. You can also specify a default value for PAY_TYPE.

These are the validation rules:

• Excess note text is truncated and a message is logged.
• Excess description text is truncated with a warning.
• Step rates must be consecutive with no gaps between the first specified rate and the last specified rate; gaps between the first and the last constitute an error and the record will not load.
• Step rates can start and end anywhere within the rate column span.
• 99 steps are supported.
• An order must be provided for grades within a schedule.
