Position Assignments

Positions and, optionally, employees are assigned to the primary dimension. Position Assignments include the primary dimension information and position attribute values. All actions associated with the Position Assignment, including the Base Salary action, must be loaded using Action Assignment. A Base Salary action must be loaded before any calculation can occur.

Authorized positions are identified by setting Position_Type to 1. A Base Salary action must be loaded for each authorized position in the same manner as filled positions.

When loading Position Assignments with the Clear and Load processing option, these items are deleted as part of the clearing process:

• All positions assignments for all years and selected version in the Clear and Load Version option.
• All action assignments associated with the position assignments for the selected version.
• Calculated detailed workforce budgeting data.
