CBRService and CPM virtual directories

The CBRService directory can support the Integrated, Basic, or Anonymous authentication methods, Anonymous is supported only for SQL Server and Oracle. By default, the Excel Services cell-based installation sets the security for CBRService virtual directory to the same authentication method used by the ComshareWeb virtual directory, by default, both Integrated and Basic authentication methods are selected.

The CBRService and CPM virtual directories must use the same authentication method. The CBRService is set to the same authentication method used by the CPM virtual directory, Basic, by default.

  1. Open Internet Information Services from Administrative Tools.
  2. Go to the CBRService directory and the CPM directory, if applicable, in the console tree.
  3. Right-click each directory and select Properties.
  4. Click the Directory Security tab and click Edit.
  5. Confirm or change the authentication mode and click OK.
    Note: For Microsoft SQL server and Oracle only: Whereas the Anonymous authentication method is supported, single sign-on systems are not.
