Configuring requirements for Kerberos authentication

If you are using Kerberos authentication for a multiple-server environment:

• The template must point to a server name. It cannot point to a port or TCP/IP address.
• On each client computer, these settings must be set in Internet Explorer options:
  • On the Security tab, add the Excel Services cell-based server and the web server, if separate computers, to the Trusted Sites. Use this syntax, replace ServerName with the name of the server:
    http://ServerName

    or

    https://ServerName .
  • On the Advanced tab, select Enable Integrated Windows Authentication.
