Inserting blocks of data

The Insert Block tab enables you to insert the data from a selected dataset onto a worksheet. Data for all Across and Down dimensions in the dataset, along with all their selected members, is automatically inserted onto the worksheet.

You can optionally show one or more off-grid dimensions in the plan for reference purposes or to change off-grid dimensions directly from the grid. If the dataset enables multiple selections for an off-grid dimension, you can select the appropriate member for the block of data.

For additional flexibility in the plan, you can change members or datasets and insert another block of data into the same worksheet for comparison purposes. Each block of data can be further customized by deleting or inserting rows or columns and formatting the plan using Excel commands.
