Selecting dimension members

Selecting members for a dataset involves more options and capability than when selecting members for inserted data. The Member Selection dialog box from the Dataset tab enables you to view all dimension members in the database and to change the members of the dataset. The Member Selection dialog box from the Insert Block, Insert Members, and Insert Value tabs shows only those members allowed by the dataset and does not allow you to change the dataset.

To select a member on any tab, single-click the underlined members displayed for a particular dimension, for new datasets, this member is called Select Member. The Member Selection dialog box displays.

Although all special characters are displayed successfully from the Member Selection dialog box, these characters may not show from the document actions tabs if included in the member names or descriptions:
