Rules of operation
- If the formula itself includes subtraction,
such as
Total Sales = Sales + IC Sales - Returns/Discounts
, then the
negative symbol is displayed outside the map nodes whose values are subtracted. In the
previous example, any value stored in the database for Returns/Discounts is subtracted
from Sales and IC Sales. Therefore, the negative symbol displays to the left of the
Returns/Discounts node on the map.
- If a value stored in the
database is negative, the negative symbol displays inside the node.
- You can only use one formula map for each
workbook. If you have an existing formula map and generate a new map, the new map
overwrites the old map.
