Rules of operation
- You can set a constraint on a single cell or a range of cells. If any cell value in a range is outside the constraint, the constraint is not set for that cell and an error message is displayed. The constraint is set successfully for all remaining cells in the range.
- If a constraint set on a descendant component of a formula conflicts with a constraint set on an ancestor component, the constraint on the ancestor component is ignored.
- A constraint set on a locked cell is ignored.
- Deleting a comment does not delete the constraint. The constraint comment will reappear when an off-grid or on-grid member is changed and then returned to the original selection.
