A data source does not exist error
If you attempt to open an existing workbook and you receive A data source does not exist error, then the administrator may have deleted a data source after you created a dataset that uses that data source. In this case, no data source or member selection information is displayed in the Dataset tab, and the dataset does not load when navigating to the Insert tabs.
There is no workaround for this issue. You must recreate the dataset using an existing data source.
If the administrator creates a new data source using the same name as a deleted data source, you must recreate the dataset. Using the same name as a deleted data source does not restore the previously created dataset, because the dataset requires the unique ID assigned to the original data source. A newly created data source given the same name and properties as the deleted data source is assigned a different ID than the deleted data source.
