Rules for combining view-based and cell-based data
- You can insert only one pre-built view into any cell-based worksheet.
- You can insert a view alongside cell-based data, or you can insert cell-based data into a row or column within a view. If you insert cell-based data within a view, you must use the Excel command, not the Excel command).
- You can reference a cell-based value in an Excel Services view-based formula. However, you cannot insert a view-based value into a cell-based formula.
- You can use the pivoting or drilling capability of Excel Services view-based mode within the inserted view only. You cannot take advantage of these view-based features in the cell-based area of the same worksheet.
