Defining activation

Activation is a rule that, if true, allows the decision to be processed. Otherwise it is skipped. If no activation is defined, the decision is active. An activation rule is an optional constraint that you can add. For example, you have groups of rules that you want to evaluate only on certain days of the week. You can group those rules in a decision with the activation rule specifying the day of the week to evaluate the rules.

You can remove the activation rule by clicking Delete at the top of the rule. The decision is always evaluated.

  1. Click the Activation tab.
  2. Click Add activation.
