File input profile configuration

This procedure assumes you have a file named sensorData.json which contains the code from the "Configuring the Data Dictionary" topic.

Ensure that you are using double quotes and not smart quotes.

  1. Click the File Input Field Folder icon.
  2. Select the file to upload. Only JSON formatted files are supported.
  3. Click Add. The profile field properties are generated from the input file. The data type is set to DOUBLE and the JSON property path is defined based on the input file structure. Once added, you can edit the profile and field information.
  4. Select the profile and then the field of the profile.
  5. Optionally, you can change the name and description. We recommend that you do not change the data type and the JSON property path unless you know the request input is different from the uploaded file.
  6. Configure the transformations.
  7. Click Save.
