MFA push notifications

MFA push notifications are sent to users with MFA push activated on their accounts.

These notifications are sent to their registered MFA device, such as a Smartphone, using their MFA authentication app (DUO). Settings for MFA push notifications are defined in Infor Ming.le Portal. Select User Menu > User Settings > Security Settings > MFA Settings User Menu.

See Infor Ming.le Online help to define MFA settings.

When you use the initial vocal invocation of Alexa, use Coleman, you have one minute to accept the push notification. However, Alexa sessions only last eight seconds. If you accept within the initial 8-second window, the session continues with the Welcome to Coleman greeting.

If the Alexa Coleman invocation is re-invoked within the one-minute window before accepting the push notification, you are prompted to check your MFA device. The session remains open for the Alexa session duration of eight seconds. If you accept the push notification and then invoke Coleman for Alexa, the session proceeds with the Welcome to Coleman greeting.

If you don’t accept the MFA notification within the one-minute window, you will be prompted with a new MFA notification. If you reject the MFA push notification, Alexa closes. After three failed attempts Alexa notifies you of a device lockout. Timeouts are increased incrementally for each subsequent MFA rejection.

Time-based One-time Password (TOTP)

A build and a deployment to Alexa must be completed before this option is available.

If your authentication option is MFA TOTP, you are prompted for an MFA PIN when you invoke Alexa Coleman. If the correct PIN is provided, you will receive the Coleman greeting or the invoked skill is displayed. If the incorrect PIN is provided, the Alexa session is closed and this message is provided: Incorrect PIN input. Please try again.
