Uploading a test document to IDM
- In Document Capture, expand the left-hand sidebar. To do so, rest the mouse pointer on the > icon at the left-hand side of the window. Then select Upload Batch.

Go to the folder that contains the CaptureExample files
you downloaded and extracted in steps 17 and 18 in the “Configuring the IDM
integration” section. Drag the PDF and
TIF files to the Drag
and Drop Files Here section of the window.
Alternatively, click Select Files and browse to the files.
- In the window, select the files. To do so, select the corresponding check boxes.
- In the Batch Class field at the top of the window, select the batch class you configured in the previous section. Then click Start Batch.

Expand the expand the left-hand sidebar. To do so, rest the mouse pointer on the > icon at the left-hand side of the
window. Then select Batch Instance
Management.
Refresh the screen. To do this, click the refresh button above the Batch Execution Details panel. Do this until there is a new batch instance above. This may take a few minutes.Note: Do not use the browser’s refresh button, because this takes you back to the Ephesoft Transact homepage every time.
- When the Current Status is Ready for Validation, expand the left-hand sidebar again and select Review Validate.
- Fill out all required fields. Then click Validate at the top of the window.
- Expand the left-hand sidebar and select Batch Instance Management.
- Click the App Menu icon and select Document Management.

Search the “Document” document type.

Click the drop-down arrow in the Search
Document Management field in the upper-left corner of
the window.
A search dialog box is displayed.
- Select Document from the Select Document Type drop-down list. The
- Click Search.

Sort the search results by the Created
Date.
In the results, three new documents that were created by “IDM-CaptureUser Capture” are displayed. IDM-CaptureUser is the service account that was created earlier during the configuration of the IDM integration.

If these documents are not displayed, or an error is displayed when you
use Capture, then search again but this time change
Active to Deleted.
If the documents are displayed, you must add a Data Flow to process the BOD being created or change the batch class to not publish the BOD.If this does not help, then submit an Infor Support portal ticket to receive support.See the “Troubleshooting” section.
