Condition-based alert notifications

Notification creators can set up condition-based alerts to apply to a notification.

When creating a condition, you can select the data you want returned, the measure/attribute/expression used to trigger the notification, and then trigger value or threshold. For example, you can set a notification to be generated when a product's re-order level becomes too low.

Applying a condition to a notification ensures that the notification is sent out if the condition is triggered during a scheduled run of the notification. You can add multiple conditions to your condition trigger with either AND or OR operators.

Things to note about condition-based alert notifications:

  • The Advanced Editor on the Conditions panel can be used to specify a BQL query
  • Expressions, variables, and global filters from Data-Driven Dashboards are not available for condition-based notifications
