Layout mode vs Results mode

Designer has a Layout mode and a Results mode. The button label shows the name of the mode that you can switch to. For example, when you are on Layout Mode, the button label is Results. Use the button to toggle between the two modes.

Use Layout mode to place the entities on the report. You can drag and drop the entities to different bands on the report or move the entity to a different area inside the same band. If an entity is placed between two bands, the entity is dropped into the band in which the entity occupies the most space.

Results mode shows the report with the content of the columns displaying on the report.
