Creating Infor OS Portal or Infor Ming.le widgets

If you are using Infor OS Portal or Infor Ming.le, widgets can be used to display Birst Visualizer reports on your Infor Ming.le homepage or Infor OS Portal workspaces. Before creating a widget, set up the SAML configuration. See Embedding Birst in Infor Ming.le pages or Embedding Birst in Infor OS Portal Workspaces.

  1. From the Infor OS Portal workspace, click Edit, or from the Infor Ming.le homepage, select Edit.
  2. Click +Add Widget.
  3. From the Widget Catalog, select the widget for Birst reports.
    Note: Your Infor OS Portal or Infor Ming.le administrator may have set a different name for the report type.
  4. Click +Add Widget.
  5. Select Close to exit the Widget Catalog.
  6. Select Configure Widget.
  7. Specify this information in the Configure Widget window:
    1. To change the title, click the Lock icon.
    2. Select the Birst application. Each application supports a single Birst space for the widget.
    3. Click the Report icon to access Report Catalog and select a Visualizer report.
    4. Specify the filter information.
      • We recommend using Explore to filter your report in Visualizer and then click Apply Filters. The filter configuration is saved to your widget. The chance of a filter failing due to syntax errors is reduced.
      • The filter syntax uses the same syntax as Single Sign On.
      • When using the filter syntax with the widget, the birst.filters= portion is not required.

      After configuring the widget, click the Explore button to explore the data and change the report in Visualizer.

      Note: Changes to the report during Explore mode cannot be saved.

      Click the Apply Filters button to override the existing filter configuration in the Homepage widget. This does not affect any filters that are applied to the Visualizer report in the report catalog.
