Setting up the Birst SAML configuration
Use this procedure to configure the Birst SAML configuration to generate the entity ID that is required for the Infor Ming.le Service Provider setup.
- Sign in to Birst as a Birst account administrator to the Birst environment.
- From the Account Home page, click Account Settings to open the SAML Configuration page.
- Click the plus icon (+) to add a new configuration, provide a name for the new configuration and click the green check field to save.
- Find and copy the entityID field in the generated placeholder Birst Service Provider XML file.
- Paste the URL into the Identity Provider Issuer field.

Find the <X509Certificate> section in the .xml file and copy
the certificate into the Certificate field in the Birst SAML configuration page.
Copy everything that is in between the <X509Certificate> and </X509Certificate> delimiters.
- Select the SP-Initiated check box.
- Find the <SingleLogoutService> for the HTTP-Redirect method in the .xml file, and copy the URL given in the Location service into the Identity Provider Single Logout URL field in Birst
- Find the <SingleSignOnService> for the HTTP-Redirect method in the .xml file, and copy the URL given in the Location service into the Identity Provider Single Sign On the URL field in Birst.

The unique Service Provider Entity ID that is required to register
Birst in the Infor Ming.le Service
Provider configuration is generated when the Birst SAML configuration file is saved.
Copy this unique value. The Birst SSO and SLO endpoint values that are specified in
the Infor Ming.le service provider configuration file are also provided.
Note: The birst.idpid is used later to embed an actual Birst Visualizer report.
- Slide the toggle field to enable the new SAML configuration.
