Use this procedure to create a placeholder service
provider to generate the ServiceProviderSAMLMetadata_Tenant_m_d_yyyy.xml file. This file is
used for the SAML configuration. After you create a Birst service provider, you can delete
this placeholder Birst service provider.

Sign in to an Infor CloudSuite tenant with Administrator account privileges.

From the User Menu, select User Management.

From the Security Administration menu, select .

Click the + Add icon to create a new
(placeholder) service provider in Infor Ming.le.
The XML file information is generated. Input into the Birst SAML configuration
page to generate an entity ID for the Birst service provider.
- Application Type
- Select BIRST.
- Display Name
- Provide a name.
- Entity ID
- Provide a generic URL such as
https://www.birst.com/. You must return to this
field when the Birst SAML Entity ID is available.
- SSO Endpoint
- Select HTTP URL Redirect and specify a
generic URL, such as
https://www.birst.com/.
- SLO Endpoint
- Select HTTP URL Redirect and specify a
generic URL, such as
https://www.birst.com/.
- Signing Certificate
- Upload the Birst Trusted Developer certificate.
Note: You must request a
Birst Trusted Developer Certificate from Birst Customer Support.

Click Save.

Find the placeholder Birst Service Provider on the Service
Provider page.

Click the View button to access the
Birst service provider XML file

Select the Export SAML Metadata option to save the XML file to a location where you
can retrieve it for the SAML configuration.
