Creating an Infor Data Lake connection
Note: Compass is not supported for IGS environments and is not available for IGS users.
IGS users may encounter an error if they attempt to create this type of connection
using Compass.
The Infor Data Lake Connector enables you to extract objects from Infor Data Lake using Compass querying capabilities. The Data Lake Connector is accessible for all space types and allows users to connect to their Data Lake based Infor datasources. Infor Data Lake connector automatically identifies and connects to the same Data Lake tenant.
Note: Infor Data Lake's use of Compass is subject to Amazon Web
Services (AWS) service limits. Depending on the size and complexity of the query, it
is possible the query could time out after 60 minutes of run time. We recommended
using the Data Lake connector for incremental queries or highly optimized queries to
avoid timeout issue.
To use Infor Data Lake Connector, you must create a connection and then configure data source extractions.
Note: You must use an Administrator account in Birst to use the
Infor Data Lake Connector.
- Navigate to Modeler Connect.
- Select the Infor Data Lake connector or click +Create and select Infor Data Lake from the Select the connector list.
- Specify the Connection Name.
- Click Confirm. The system automatically identifies the Data Lake connected to your account and displays the list of Schemas available to use.
- Select the schemas you want to use.
- Click Back.
- To configure your data source extractions and organize the extracted data, click on the connector from the Connections list. Alternatively, click the Action icon, and then select Edit. To delete the connector, click the Action icon, and then select Delete.
