Preparing Data
Users are able to manage their raw and scripted data sources.
Scripted sources are data sources manipulated by ETL Services scripts to transform the data source prior to being loaded into Birst. Scripted sources allow users modify data to better map to the data model. Birst provides scripting functions to facilitate this process. ETL scripts use a subset of BQL that is evaluated at the middle tier.
You can manage scripted sources by:
- Adding Scripted Sources
- Copying Scripted Sources
- Deleting Scripted Sources
- Setting the Status of Scripted Sources
