Data-Driven Dashboards
Dashboards let you control dashboard content (make visible / hidden) based on the value of rules (columns, variables, and filters). This allows you to build a single dashboard that can dynamically display different components (views) based on data values, users, and so on. Data Driven Dashboards provides support for using saved expressions as a column selection, employing user group variables, and for the "contains" and "does not contain" operators
You no longer need to build multiple dashboards to address use cases where the dashboard view needs to be different for different users.
This is a high level view of steps required to set up Data Driven Dashboards:
- Create Dashboard Rules and Conditions
- Link Rules and Conditions to Dashlets
- Preview Rules and Conditions on Dashboards
- Test Rules and Conditions in Dashboards
Additionally, Data Driven Dashboards provides support for Saved Expressions for column condition types, and using User Group Variables as operators.
