Recommendations for controlling and auditing access sensitive data

Birst has many ways to control access to data and metadata based on space and account groups. You can use the space and account groups to control access to spaces, custom subject areas, reports, and dashboards.

Birst also has audit features that show who has logged in to spaces, modified permissions, such as group membership or group access rights, and who has modified sensitive fields.

You must set up your access control to take into account any corporate rules or regulatory compliance requirements (for example, HIPAA) related to any sensitive data that you might upload to Birst. This is especially true if the uploaded sensitive data is used for analysis and creating reports, dashboards, and so on.
