Workflow overview

A workflow is a sequence of tasks or steps that are used to complete a specific business process in Birst. They outline the steps involved, the order in which they should be performed, and the resources needed, such as target or source spaces, to carry them out. Workflows can be used for data extraction, processing, and space operations such as duplicating and swapping spaces.

Workflows are created and maintained in Orchestration. When you create a workflow, you can:

  • Add a single or multiple tasks to a step

  • Rest your cursor in the spaces before and after the steps to enable the Add a new step here + option
  • Click the Expand icon to expand the task
  • Click Delete to delete the task
