Any saved Classic Designer report can be used as a report style. A report style is just a regular report with properties that you would like to apply to other reports. After you have created a report with the formatting elements that you want, these formatting elements (such as colors, margins, chart layout properties, chart borders and backgrounds) can be applied to other reports without having to make all of the individual settings for the other reports.
Spaces have a default report located in a Styles folder within the Shared folder (//shared/styles). This default report contains suggested styles that can be applied to other reports. You can apply a report style to tabular reports, pivot reports and charts.
