Generating BQL with AI

Generating BQL with AI enables you to describe the data you want to analyze using natural language. GenAI interprets the prompt and generates a corresponding BQL query, which you can review, validate, and use to render charts in the Analytics Widget.

This feature is available only when you have GenAI capabilities provisioned at the account level and enabled for your space. If GenAI is not enabled, the natural language query option is not displayed in the Analytics Widget. For more details, see Enabling GenAI features through CloudSuite Self-Service Portal.

To generate BQL with AI:
  1. Create or edit an Analytics Widget.
  2. Select the Enter Query.
  3. Click the Natural Language button.
  4. Specify a prompt describing the required data and analysis in Enter query window.
  5. Click Generate Query.
  6. Review the answer in Generated Query window.
  7. Click Validate.
  8. Click Next.
  9. Click Render Chart.
  10. Edit the generated BQL manually if required.
Note:  If a prompt cannot be interpreted or results in an invalid query, an error message is displayed that prompts you to revise the input and try again.
