Application Management

Application Management displays all applications provisioned with Birst in an account, such as Infor CloudSuite Financials. Applications are listed in a collapsed state by default, and you can expand each application to view its Birst details.

You can use Application management for these actions:

  • Understanding the resources included in each application, such as Spaces, Workflows, and Connections.
  • Creating your own custom application.

To view the Birst applications available in your account in a table:

  1. Select Admin > Application Management.
  2. Note that icons for Birst applications are colour-coded:
    • Black icons: Read-only Standard Meta Data (SMD) applications.
    • Blue icons: Active (Live) applications.
    • Purple icons: Custom applications.
    • Orange icons: Clone applications.
    • Green icons: Quick applications.
  3. Select the name of an application to expand the list of metadata objects. You can also select Spaces or Workflows included in your analytics solution from the table.

Column Descriptions: the table includes these columns:

  • Resource Type: type of Birst resource or object, such as Space.
  • Resource Name: unique business name of the resource defined by the product teams.
  • Birst Object Name: name of the object in the application.
  • Birst Object ID: ID of the object in the application.
  • Resource Tags: business names or tags that identify how the object is use.
  • Version: version that is assigned to the resource.
