Administration

The Admin Home Page in Birst provides a central hub for managing accounts, spaces, users, and system-level configurations. Administrators use this page to manage governance, security, and operational tasks across the account.

On this page you can perform these actions:

    Create and manage users.

    Manage access rights and permissions.

    Organize users into account-level groups that extend beyond space-level groups.

    Enable or disable account-level capabilities based on group membership.

    View high-level account settings and information for all spaces under the account.

    Configure and manage all options and settings for individual spaces.

  • Orchestration

    Create and manage workflows for data extraction and processing.

    Manage space operations, such as duplicating and swapping spaces.

  • Monitoring

    Track active jobs and view job details for the account.

  • Shared Connections

    Create and manage reusable connections at the account level for use across multiple spaces.

  • Agents

    Create, edit, delete, and upgrade cloud agents for your account.

  • Audit Trail

    Access logs that record actions performed in Birst for review and compliance.

  • SAML Configuration

    Configure and manage SAML authentication for secure access.

  • Compare and Merge

    Compare metadata objects across spaces and accounts.

    Merge selected metadata types as required.

  • Application Management

    View available Birst applications.

    Create and manage custom applications.

  • External Databases

    Configure and maintain clusters that connect to external databases.
