Configuring Exporting and Importing

The AI Setup menu exports a data model description configuration from one workspace and imports the configuration into another workspace or the same workspace. Use this option to replicate an AI configuration across multiple workspaces that contain similar data models. The AI Setup menu also supports configuration updates in Microsoft Excel. Import the updated configuration file instead of specifying each setting manually.

Exporting

  1. Select Admin > Space Management > GenAI Settings > Data Model Descriptions.
  2. Click AI Setup in the top-right toolbar.
  3. Select Export.
  4. In the Export dialog, choose one of these:
    Configured Elements
    It exports only the elements you have already enabled and configured, such as labels, descriptions, or permissions.
    All Elements
    It exports every element in the Default Subject Area, including those not yet configured.
  5. Click Export.
    Note: A JSON or XLSX file downloads to your computer. The file contains the configuration for all selected elements.

Importing

Select the target workspace where you want to apply the configuration.
  1. Select Admin > Space Management > GenAI Settings > Data Model Descriptions.
  2. Click AI Setup in the top-right toolbar.
  3. Select Import.
  4. Select Import Mode:
    Merge
    To merge Existing Configuration with new entities.
    Overwrite
    To remove Existing Configuration and to replace it with imported content.
  5. Drag and drop or upload the file in given box. The accepted formats are: XLSX, JSON, the maximum of 10 MB.
  6. Click Upload & Import to apply.
