Configuring Measures

Enabling a Measure

  1. Select Admin > Space Management > GenAI Settings > Data Model Descriptions
  2. Click Measures to expand the list.
  3. Locate the measure you want to configure.
  4. Switch on the Enabled option.

Adding a Label and Description

  1. Click the Label field next to the measure.
  2. Specify a clear, business-friendly name, for example ''Gross Revenue'' instead of ''Sum_sale_amt''.
  3. Click the Description field.
  4. Specify a brief explanation of what the measure represents, for example "Total sales revenue before deductions, in Euros".
    Note: Changes are saved automatically.

Configuring Measure Details

  1. Click the name of the measure to open the side panel.
  2. In the side panel, configure these elements:
    Aggregation
    Select at least one aggregation the AI may use, for example Sum, Count, Average, Min, Max.
    Analyze by Date
    Select at least one date dimension the AI may use when grouping this measure over time.
    Time Series
    Select at least one time comparison that are available, for example Year Ago, or Month Ago.
    Note: A measure is not available for AI analysis unless at least one option is selected for Aggregation, Analyze by Date, and Time Series.
  3. Close the side panel.
