Ratio in Designer

Ratio expressions in Designer enable you to calculate ratios by defining a Numerator and Denominator.

You can use Ratio expressions in all report bands, including Title, Page Header, Header, Detail, Summary, and Page Footer. Ratio expressions provide consistent ratio calculations throughout the report layout.

To use Ratio expressions, perform these steps:

  1. Select Add Entity.
  2. Click Add Expression Column.
  3. From Expression Type, click the Ratio tab.
    Note: Ratio expressions are available as report-level expressions and global expressions.

  • Numerator: [OrderDate: Sum: Quantity]
  • Denominator: [OrderDate: Sum: UnitPrice]
