Missing Data option

With the Missing Data option, you change only the visual display. Underlying data and calculations are not changed.

Use these options to improve readability and match the report style to the audience.

When a report contains attributes or measures with missing or null values, those values are displayed as missing by default.

To configure how missing values are displayed, perform these steps:

1. In the Visualizer module, click the Report Settings button.
2. Select Missing Data.
3. Select one of these available options:
   • is missing: The report shows missing values with the is missing message. Use this option in analytical or audit-style reports that require identification of missing data.
   • Blank cell: The report shows missing values as empty cells without a text or symbols. Use this option to present dashboards or summary views that require a clean layout.
   • Null icon: The report shows missing values only with the Ø symbol. Use this option in dense tables or compact reports in which the space is limited but missing data must be visually identified.
