Birst AI Tools for Infor GenAI Assistant
Add Birst AI Tools to an AI agent so that users can ask questions about business data in natural language. The AI agent can generate queries, retrieve results, and provide links to reports from the GenAI Assistant chat experience.

Birst AI Tools connect AI agents to Birst data. They enable an AI agent to:
- Explore data. Discover available measures and attributes in a workspace.
- Generate queries. Convert natural-language questions into BQL queries.
- Run queries. Retrieve tabular data results from BQL queries.
- Create reports. Generate links that open new reports in Birst Visualizer.
- Search for content. Find dashboards and reports in a workspace.
Add Birst AI Tools to an AI agent and provide instructions about the workspace data. Users can then ask questions and retrieve information from Birst data sources through the GenAI Assistant chat experience.
You configure Birst AI tools in the Infor GenAI Assistant platform. Create or edit an AI agent, add the required Birst tools, and specify instructions that define how the agent uses each tool.
After configuration, the agent manages the analytics workflow automatically when a user asks a question. The agent identifies the appropriate workspace and discovers the available data. Then the agent generates a query, runs the query, and returns the answer.
