Configuring Insight Summaries

Dashboard editors and administrators can control which dashlets display AI-generated insights and customize the type of analysis performed.

Enabling Insight Summaries for a Dashboard

  1. Open the dashboard you want to configure.
  2. Click Edit mode.
  3. Select the Insight Summaries section.
  4. Review the list of available dashlets.
  5. Enable Insight Summaries for the required dashlets.
  6. Save or publish your changes.

Customizing what the AI looks for

For each enabled dashlet, you can define:

  • Summary Definition: Instructions that tell the AI what aspects of the data to summarize for example focus on top performers, highlight growth rates, compare periods.
  • Anomaly Definition: Instructions that tell the AI what constitutes something unusual for this specific dashlet for example a decline greater than 10%, a value exceeding a threshold, an unexpected spike.

To configure definitions:

  1. In the Insight Summaries section, select a dashlet from the list.
  2. Review the default prompts for Summary Definition and Anomaly Definition.
  3. Edit the prompts to provide instructions and domain knowledge specific to your data.
  4. Click Publish.
